Technology has fascinated our founders, Anna and Markus since they were young. Both studied engineering at RWTH Aachen, Anna finishing her PhD summa cum laude and Markus his master as top-3 of his class.

They knew one day they wanted to join forces and create something together, combining Anna's knowledge about industrial practices from her experience as a BCG Principal and Markus' knowledge of how to scale in the software industry from his experience as Amazon product manager.

Their initial pitch was that online shopping was still a hassle, and it often started with a bad search experience.
